About Me
My name is Esther, and I am a wife and the mother of two beautiful girls. I live in Truckee, CA, only 15 minutes from beautiful Lake Tahoe. My journey to Esther’s Elegants began in July of 2002 when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. After surgery, chemotherapy and some recuperation time, I began to put some thought into what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. I needed a release for all my creative energy and I had always dreamed of owning my own business. Cancer is very empowering and I decided that there was no time like the present to put my two dreams together. I discussed my ideas for a jewelry making business with my family, who were very supportive. My youngest daughter came up with my business name. I got to work creating pieces of jewelry and Esther’s Elegants was born.
I started with jewelry because first and foremost I LOVE to wear jewelry! Secondly, I wanted to create unique, one of a kind pieces that a million other people would not be wearing.
